Mitch Meyer
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER & LEAD EQUIPMENT OPERATOR
Mitch Meyer is AloTerra’s Construction Manager and Lead Equipment Operator with over eight years of experience delivering ecological restoration projects throughout the Rocky Mountain region. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resource Management with a Minor in Ecological Restoration from Colorado State University, providing a strong academic foundation in restoration ecology, geomorphology, and land management that directly informs his construction and project oversight approach.
Mitch has more than six years of heavy equipment operating experience, including channel and pond improvement and reconstruction, riffle and pool construction, log and rock vanes, check dams, bioswales, biologs, vegetated soil lifts, toe wood installation, floodplain grading, and construction surveying. He specializes in the implementation of complex, process-based restoration designs, combining high-tech engineered structures with practical low-tech, low-cost (LTLC) solutions to meet project goals while maintaining constructability and cost efficiency.
In addition to field leadership, Mitch supports the pre-construction phase of project delivery, including constructability review, project planning, and cost estimating for new construction proposals. He routinely manages and supervises restoration construction crews, coordinating personnel, equipment, and sequencing to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications.
Through his work at AloTerra, Mitch has developed the technical, managerial, and ecological expertise required to ensure the successful installation of complex restoration projects, resulting in improved habitat function, increased biodiversity, and enhanced resilience across Rocky Mountain ecosystems.
